The Farrant Singers came to All Saints Church, Chitterne, to sing with the sole purpose of raising funds for the Friends. On a beautiful Midsummer’s evening, this articulate, Salisbury based chamber choir excelled themselves with a wide range of works from William Byrd to Billy Joel.
The church was filled with a very appreciative audience who evidently enjoyed the opportunity to support the Friends in such a joyous way. After the concert the Friends showed their thanks to the choir by holding a supper in the village hall.
Just over £2,450 was raised as a result of the concert and donations from people who could not attend on the night. Thank you to all those involved in making the evening a great success!
